Terms and Conditions
The terms that apply when you use the Home Path Point website, subscribe to our newsletter or ask us to quote for renovation work.
Last updated: 1 January 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Home Path Point website and the way we handle enquiries, quotations and newsletter subscriptions. By using this website you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
About these Terms
Home Path Point provides home renovation, improvement and advisory services. These Terms apply to the website and to preliminary communications. Any renovation project we carry out is governed by a separate written agreement or work order, which takes precedence over anything on this website where the two differ.
Use of the website
- You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others.
- You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers or any connected systems.
- You must not upload anything containing malicious code, or use automated tools to scrape or overload the site.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit through our forms.
Information on this website
Content on this website — including service descriptions and blog articles — is provided for general information. It is written carefully but it is not professional advice for your particular property. Building conditions, local regulations and material availability vary, so please speak to us before acting on anything you read here.
Enquiries and quotations
- Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract and does not commit either party to proceed.
- Quotations are prepared from the scope discussed and the conditions visible at the time of assessment.
- Unless stated otherwise in writing, a quotation remains open for the period shown on it and may be revised after that.
- Where hidden conditions are discovered once work begins — for example behind walls or under floors — we will explain the options and any change in scope before continuing.
No work starts on site until you have approved the written scope and the commercial terms in writing.
Project changes
Changes requested after approval are handled as written variations, describing the work involved and any effect on the schedule. We will not carry out additional chargeable work without your approval. Delays caused by access restrictions, third-party trades, or decisions left pending may affect the agreed timeline.
Your responsibilities
- Provide safe and reasonable access to the areas being worked on.
- Tell us about any known hazards, service locations or property restrictions.
- Make decisions and selections within agreed timeframes so the schedule can hold.
- Ensure any permissions required from a landlord, body or authority are in place.
Payments
Payment terms, stages and accepted methods are set out in your written agreement. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are payable by the due date shown on them. Late payment may pause work and may attract the charges described in your agreement.
Warranty and defects
Workmanship is covered by the warranty stated in your agreement. Manufacturer warranties for materials and products are provided by those manufacturers and passed on to you where applicable. Warranties do not cover normal wear, accidental damage, alterations by others, or lack of routine maintenance described in your handover guidance. Please report any suspected defect to us promptly so we can inspect it.
Intellectual property
All text, photography, drawings, logos and design elements on this website are owned by Home Path Point or used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish or distribute our content without our written permission. Project drawings and specifications prepared for you are licensed for use on the property they were created for.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Home Path Point is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from reliance on general information on this website. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Third-party links and services
Where we link to other websites or recommend third-party products and services, we do so in good faith but we do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
Newsletter subscription
Subscribing to our newsletter is optional and free. By subscribing you agree to receive occasional emails about renovation ideas, maintenance guidance and our services. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or our unsubscribe page. Our handling of your details is described in the Privacy Policy.
Privacy
Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal information.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the website after changes are published means you accept the revised Terms.
